Meet the members – Anton Juodvalkis

What is your business?

Since January 2019, I have been the CEO of OzGREEN (taking over from Sue Lennox who Co-Founded OzGREEN in 1993 with her late husband Colin). OzGREEN, a charitable not-for-profit that focuses on environmental education, youth leadership, community development and citizen science. OzGREEN is a lead partner in Bellingen Riverwatch and runs the award winning YOUth LEADing the World program. We are also about to launch a community resilience program in four localities in the Bellingen Shire.

How has the pandemic affected your business?

All of our programs had to be placed on hold, so all activity essentially stopped. We are slowly restarting programs now.

You’ve just joined the Chamber Board — what prompted you to join and what are you hoping to contribute to the Chamber?

The Chamber put out the call for board members and I have experience in corporate governance so I thought I might be able to help. I think the Chamber is a great way for business people in the shire of all shades to get to know each other better and work together for the common good.
