UMCC is pleased to present
The Great Koala National Park.
At this breakfast in March, Kevin Evans from the GKNP Steering Committee will give an overview of the Great Koala National Park Proposal. |
Learn more about the objectives of the proposal – how the GKNP will preserve native habitat and work toward Koala conservation. |
HE is Deputy Chair and Treasurer of Great Eastern Ranges Ltd Board and President of the Coffs Coast Branch of NPA NSW. |
Kevin has studied ecology, organisational change management, endangered species management and tourism and has been an Adjunct Lecturer at Charles Sturt University in the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science for 12 years. He also presents Wild Beats on Radio 2BBB on Tuesday mornings. |
|
The proposal offers a number of exciting elements for tourism including: a purpose built visitor centre to be located within the Bellingen Shire; the inclusion of a 200km walking track; mountain bike trails and a horse riding trail.
Both Coffs Harbour City Council and Bellingen Shire Council have supported the initiative financially – providing seed funding to develop a comprehensive business case to attract funding and capital investment.
Come along to the breakfast and learn more about this exciting proposal. |
Kevin Evans retired to Gleniffer from Sydney in 2017 after 8 years as Chief Executive Officer of the National Parks Association of NSW (NPA). Kevin was previously Director of Adelaide and Monarto Zoos in South Australia. |
