Summer with CEL – Save your bottles and cans

5 Dec

CEL is now a “Local Donation Partner” on the RETURN & EARN reverse vending machine at Connell Park – from now until 24 February.
All you need to do is put your cans or bottles in and press the DONATE button – then choose “Centre Ecological Learning” (we are at the top of the list). And voila! 10c goes right to CEL to support our  nature connection programs and advocacy.
Let us know if you have some bottles and cans to pick up for recycling!

Be part of a special event 8-13 January, 2019

Climate scientists say we have 12 years. There is an urgency to help each other and work together.

We invite you to join us at Yarrawarra from 8th to 13th January, 2019 for an InterNātional  gathering offering insight into a growing recognition for the need to define what it means to work together, with an emphasis on how we develop our collective potential to bring about change.

An optional two day Mindful Compassionate Earth retreat will be offered before the main retreat days.

The InterNātional Australian Initiative for Transformative Collaboration (INAITC) is an Indigenous led community group that includes Gumbaynggirr, Bundjalung and Native American Elders. INAITC is grateful for the support and collaborative energy of the Centre for Ecological Learning (CEL).

We also need your help. INAITC events are freely offered in the spirit of generosity. Our expenses are numerous and any offerings gratefully received towards supporting our Native American relatives to travel to Australia, accommodation and food costs during the retreat. The Centre for Ecological Learning (CEL) supports people of all ages to experience Earth-based, immersive, educational experiences that deepen our relationship with ourselves and the natural world. These experiences nourish, inspire and equip people with the knowledge and skills to go forth and adopt more ecologically sustainable ways of living in their personal lives and local community.

CEL acknowledges the Gumbaynggirr people as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work, and learn. We pay our respects to all Elders past and present.

CEL would like to thank our media partners, Bellbottom Media and i Love Bello Shire and our Supporters, Living Earth AromatherapyBellofoodbox and Snapfrozen. CEL is currently looking for Sponsors to assist our organisation to achieve its’ mission.
