Future Transport Strategy

22 May

The Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Andrew Constance on 15 May 2017 announced a strategy to address how NSW plans for the future of transport.

The Future Transport Strategy will help NSW prepare for large technology, social and environment changes over the next 40 years.

The strategy will:

  • – make long-term decisions to tackle challenges like congestion, our growing population, and climate change
  • – look at the way we travel and new ways to travel – driverless cars, renewable energy and on demand┬átransport
  • – outline the planning, new infrastructure and new laws we will need

Transport needs to be coordinated where we build homes, businesses, schools, hospitals and other important pieces of infrastructure. This is why we are working in close partnership with other government agencies in creating long term plans like the Future Transport Strategy for NSW.

We need to hear from small, medium and large businesses about what transport is required for the future.

Your feedback will help us shape the Future Transport Strategy, which we will finalise in early 2018.
