Create NSW – Arts and Cultural Projects – closes 8 April

Create NSW’s Arts & Cultural Projects (Round 2) supports professional arts and cultural projects at any stage of the creative process. It offers grants of up to $75,000 for projects and activities delivered by individual artists, cultural practitioners, groups and partnerships over 2 years or up to $60,000 over a single year.


My Community Project – This is a new NSW Government Community Program – due to open 2 April

My Community Project is a new NSW Government funding program. My Community Project will enable individuals to put forward ideas for projects in their area, and a public vote will show which projects have the most community support to receive funding. Successful projects will receive funding between $20,000 and $200,000. The funding does not require a matched contribution.

Community Heritage Grants – closes 6 May

The Community Heritage Grants (CHG) program provides grants of up to $15,000 to community organisations such as libraries, archives, museums, genealogical and historical societies, multicultural and Indigenous groups. The grants are provided to assist with the preservation of locally owned, but nationally significant collections of materials that are publicly accessible including artefacts, letters, diaries, maps, photographs, and audio visual material.


Veteran and Community Grants – 4 Rounds of assessment – next round closes 6 June 2019

The objective of the program is to maintain and improve the independence and quality of life for members of the Australian veteran community by providing funding for projects that sustain or enhance health and wellbeing.


2019 Naidoc Week Grants – close 18 April

Grants from $500 – $1000 are available. For more significant events, applications of up to $3000 may be considered. You must complete the online application process through SmartyGrants.

Regional Filming Fund – applications can be submitted at any time

The Regional Filming Fund (RFF) offsets costs associated with shooting in regional areas of NSW. Regional NSW is defined as all areas in NSW outside the Sydney Metro area (excluding the ACT). View the map of the NSW local government areas and the Sydney Metro area. Applicants may request up to 35% of the budgeted NSW Regional Spend. Support is provided as a grant. The maximum grant per production is $100,000. NSW Regional Spend is the total of the below the line shooting expenses directly associated with filming in regional NSW.


Community War Memorials Fund – closes before 5pm 25 April 2019

The NSW Government established the Community War Memorials Fund to help conserve, repair and protect war memorials across NSW. Since the establishment of the program in 2008, grants have been provided for a wide range of projects including conservation assessments, honour roll repair, war memorial cleaning and conservation work, arborist advice for war memorial trees, security measures for memorials, repairs to war memorial halls and improvements to the accessibility of memorials.
