Regional Manager of Mid North Coast NSW Business Chamber, Kellon Beard, has welcomed the NSW Government’s new funding announced for regional events.
Regional event organisers are invited to apply for annual grants of up to $20,000 to support the creation of regional events and foster existing events.
“It is great to see the NSW Government supporting regional tourism and local businesses,” Mr Beard said.
“These grants will drive awareness and attendance to local events and showcase what the Mid North Coast has to offer.
“Regional events see a boost for our overnight visitor expenditure with people shopping and eating in local businesses all over town.” Mr Beard said.
Applications for Round One of the 2017 Incubator Event Fund are open until Sunday 30 October 2016 with Round Two applications for events held in July – December 2017, set to open in February next year.
The 2017 Incubator Event Fund is managed by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
