Become a Referee at the FIRST LEGO League Robotics CompetitionSaturday 16 November @ Toormina High SchoolHelp send one of our 21 teams to the National Championships by being a part of the FIRST® LEGO® League Robotics Competition and the Regional Qualifying Event in Coffs Harbour. We are currently looking for REFEREES. WHAT DOES A REFEREE DO? The referees observe the team robot game matches, identify rule violations, assess field for scoring of matches, and participate in deliberations regarding contested calls and official scores. No previous experience required! You will receive some online training and will have the Head Referee to support you with any questions that you might have, so what are you waiting for? This is an amazing opportunity for you to be energized, feel fulfilled, have FUN, and impact the next generation of CHANGEMAKERS. 3… 2… 1… LEGO! FIRST LEGO League is…Each year, FIRST LEGO League introduces a scientific and real-world challenge on which teams can focus and research. The robotics part of the competition involves designing and programming LEGO Mindstorms robots to complete tasks. The students work out solutions to the various problems they are given and then meet for regional, national and international tournaments to compete, share their knowledge, compare ideas, and display their robots. This year’s challenge is CITY SHAPER and its goal is to design and build better places to live and work for everyone. |
